Your mission

Exolaunch has a new opportunity for a Business Development Associate to conduct business development activities supporting corporate strategy, customer engagement and revenue growth across the enterprise. This role requires an enthusiastic approach to learning, identifying and pursuing new opportunities, cultivating and growing customer relationships and identifying new markets and growth areas for the company.

 

The Business Development Associate will be part of a team that drives the organization’s strategic growth objectives through the development and understanding of customers’ critical requirements and contributing to winning capture and proposal strategies. This position will report to the Chief Revenue Officer, USA.

 

The Business Development Associate will develop, recommend and implement marketing strategies to maximize customer and market penetration, drive tactical and strategic growth and help shape the technology roadmap. This individual will participate in the identification and qualification of opportunities while helping generate a high-quality pipeline to support the organization’s aggressive growth plan.

 

This position is full-time and located at Exolaunch's US headquarters in downtown Denver, CO.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Work in a team environment with company leadership and Business Development team to support the development of successful market strategies, strategic partnerships, and competitive analysis;
  • Support Business Development tasks from lead generation through the proposal stage using Exolaunch’s gate review and approval process;
  • Conduct research and provide analysis on competitive market intelligence to shape opportunity capture;
  • Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships, and assess competitor capabilities aligned to specific customers across a diverse business portfolio;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Business Development opportunities;
  • Support Business Development and Marketing efforts by helping to develop collateral materials and develop white papers to showcase Exolaunch technical capabilities
  • Manage Exolaunch’s social media presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and others)
  • Support participation in tradeshows and industry events

Your profile

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (business/marketing, aerospace management, engineering or computer science)
  • Basic knowledge of the aerospace and defense industry
  • Ability to cultivate, grow and sustain relationships with customers and partners
  • Basic understanding of government contracting and federal budget process and/or ability to quickly learn
  • Proven ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Confidence when meeting with senior executives, peers, and customers
  • Ability to learn solutions that enable identification and research of opportunities
  • Ability to maintain and grow company social media profile
  • Ability to travel as needed within the US (and occasionally outside the US) to support customer meetings, conferences and trade shows
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Government security clearance or the ability to be cleared in the future
  • Experience with networks and communications systems highly desired

Travel Expectations

This role requires frequent and flexible travel, including short-notice trips, up to 20-25% of the time.
