The Mission Management team stands at the core of Exolaunch's work and success, working on every part of the mission from pre-contract signing through deployment using Exolaunch’s state-of-the-art separation systems. Your mission

Your role is based in our office in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate for this role has a background in space technology, with experience in satellite launch, launch vehicles, project management or structural and test engineering. Additionally, the ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and team player who is passionate about being part of a dynamic team that is driving the satellite industry forward. 


The nature of the role allows candidates with various backgrounds and levels of experience to join the team. Depending on the level of relevant work experience, candidates may join as Mission Associates or Mission Managers. The appropriate job title and associated salary level will be determined during the interview process. The Mission Manager level is considered an advanced-level role, which requires highly relevant work experience. 


 Mission Management 

  • Assist the Mission Management team in supporting customer projects across different missions on different launch vehicles.

  • Become the primary point of contact for customers and manage their mission from contract signature to launch.

  • Support the team in planning and executing test and integration activities and launch campaigns.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and presentations for internal and external communication.

  • Travel to launch sites to support the integration of Exolaunch hardware and customer satellites with the launch vehicle.

  • Travel to customer facilities to support technical activities such as fitchecks or environmental testing in preparation for launch.


 Business Development / Sales 

  • Provide technical support during sales calls and external customer visits.

  • Host customers visiting our office.

  • Participate in conferences and present Exolaunch and our products to customers and partners.

  • Help draft technical proposals for satellite launch opportunities.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering field. 

  • A wide range of experience levels is welcome. 

  • Entry-level candidates: Academic or work experience on a technical project. Satellite or space-related projects preferred. 

  • Experienced candidates: Multiple years of work experience in a field related to satellite project management, launch vehicles, or technical project management. 

  • Experience in working hands-on with hardware can be beneficial. 

  • Excellent written and spoken English. 

  • Excellent technical communication skills. 

  • Experience in working with CAD software such as Solidworks. 

  • Positive and proactive self-starter attitude and ability to work in a highly integrated team setting. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. 

  • Flexibility for frequent travel, occasionally at short notice.

Travel Expectations

This role requires frequent and flexible travel, including short-notice trips, up to 15–20% of the time, or for extended periods of up to three weeks. Occasional weekend travel and work will be necessary to support critical launch and project timelines.

Additional Requirements 

This role is based in Denver, Colorado. Candidates must be either currently residing in Denver or be open to relocating. 


Additionally, positions in the Mission Management team in Denver require access to export-controlled commodities and technical data. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Exolaunch Inc. Mission Management team members must be one of the following: 

  • a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State Department. Learn more about ITAR here.
