Berlin, Germany

Permanent employee

Introduction

Curious about supporting a team working on real launch missions? Then Exolaunch might be the perfect place for you.

Exolaunch is a global leader in launch mission management, satellite integration and satellite deployment technologies. With a decade of flight heritage and over 830 satellites launched across 48 missions to date, Exolaunch leverages industry insight to tailor turnkey solutions that meet customer needs and respond to market trends. The company fulfills launch contracts for industry leaders, the world's most innovative startups, research institutions, government organizations, and international space agencies.

At the heart of our success are our state-of-the-art separation systems. These systems ensure that satellites withstand the rigors of launch and are reliably deployed into orbit from the launch vehicle. Our engineering team is responsible for the testing, validation, and quality assurance of these critical systems, from production to deployment in space.

As a Technician or Technical Specialist (m/f/d) in the Engineering Team, you will work in a unique environment that brings spaceflight to life. You will support the team in the comprehensive testing of our products and ensure they are fully qualified for operation in orbit. Your day-to-day responsibilities include vibration, thermal-vacuum, and shock testing, as well as joint system tests with our customers’ satellites — not only in Germany, but across Europe and worldwide.

Your workplace will be based at the JFH office in Berlin-Charlottenburg. The ideal candidate for this role has a technical vocational training in mechanics, mechatronics, or a related industrial field, ideally supplemented by further training as a certified mechanical technician. Experience in quality assurance, testing, assembly, or manufacturing engineering is an advantage. You are a committed team player with a strong enthusiasm for technology and space, and you are motivated to contribute in a dynamic environment that actively shapes the satellite industry.

  • Maintain inventory of flight hardware, test equipment, and tool sets.

  • Support the preparation of technical equipment for transport and shipment.

  • Support technical activities at international launch sites.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed technical vocational training, e.g. as an industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician, test technician, or in a comparable field; alternatively, relevant professional experience in technical quality assurance or quality control.

  • Additional qualification as a certified mechanical technician (or similar) is considered an advantage and may positively influence scope of responsibility and compensation.
